In 1970, in response to growing competition, the 3rd generation of the Kuentz brothers set themselves apart by producing egg-rich pasta, inspired by an Alsatian recipe transcribed in the 17th century. This was the birth of “Pâtes d'Alsace aux 7 œufs frais”. Noodles are sold in transparent bags. The success of the new recipe exceeds Valfleuri's wishes, and the Alsatians pastas recipe is adopted by the majority of Alsatian producers. All Alsatians pastas are rich in fresh eggs from free-range hens. Our fresh eggs and durum wheat come exclusively from the French terroir. We select these ingredients with care, to make pasta that's generous tasty pasta.
